Enhanced Rider Scheme
Backed by the DVSA, this course is the perfect first step in to Advanced/Post Test Training.
The ERS is based on 7 Core Modules:-
- A Structured, Planned Approach to Riding
- Hazard Awareness and Defensive Riding
- Progress and Use Of Speed
- Overtaking and Filtering
- Cornering
- Slow Control
- Your Attitude to Riding
The day typically starts around 9am with an informal chat over coffee, discussing your experience, strengths and weaknesses and what you would like to achieve during the session. Next, its out on the bikes for an initial assessment ride, followed by a de-brief (over coffee!!) where together we’ll identify areas that we need to work on. The rest of the day will be spent working on these areas to ensure the required riding standard is reached to issue you with a DVSA Enhanced Rider Certificate.
Riders will use their own bikes. We will provide the Intercom units required for the day.
The ERS Course is unique in that it can only be delivered by DVSA Certified Motorcycle Training Instructors and is recognised by most major insurance companies, saving you an average of 10% on your premiums. The one day DVSA Course can be tailored to your exact requirements. Working on skills such as braking, cornering, slow control, reading the road, hazard awareness and positioning.

For Riders that have completed the ERS course and want to consolidate the skills learned and are keen to learn more, we offer a half day course. Again, most of our time will be spent “in the saddle”, linked up with intercoms and be focussed on further enhancing skills, bringing your riding up a level.

I’m based in Bridgnorth (www.visitbridgnorth.co.uk), which is a beautiful black and white market town in the heart of Shropshire, with a host of pubs and restaurants, as well as a steam railway station and Europes steepest funicular Railway! Accommodation will be in the 4* Croft B&B (www.crofthotelbridgnorth.co.uk) and various options are available, all in beautiful, timbered, en-suite rooms with a full English breakfast included. Safe, secure motorcycle parking is also included.
